Prof. Wojciech Cellary attended an international conference The 9th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance ICEGOV 2016, which took place in Montevideo (Uruguay) from 1 – 3 March, 2016, under the patronage of the Presidency of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay by the Agency for Electronic Government and Information Society and the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance, Information Society AGESIC and UNESCO. The conference took place under the theme “Transparent and Accountable Governance for 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda”. Prof. Cellary served as a member of ICEGOV Steering Committee, he gave also a keynote speech entitled "Big Data Analysis – a Challenge to Justice". During the conference Prof. Cellary chaired a session "Public Service Innovation", he also participated at a panel discussion "Big data era: better living and less freedom?". As a member of Steering Committee he participated at the closing session announcing the next ICEGOV 2017 in New Delhi (India).
On February 29, a day before the conference, prof. Cellary attended an Expert Group Meeting „Knowledge Societies and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda”, organized by UNESCO IFAP, UNU-EGOV and AGESIC.
