Specialization "e-Business"DIT is responsible for specialization "e-Business" covering 7 semesters of study. Specialization "e-Business" integrates economy with computer engineering. Teaching is in English. Specialization "e-Business" aims at education of a new class of managers and entrepreneurs able to creatively and effectively work in electronic economy in international environment.
"Golden Mouse" ContestEvery year a "Golden Mouse" Contest is organized for over 600 students to encourage them to creatively apply the gained knowledge to e-business activities. The winners of the contest obtain precious rewards as notebooks, palmtops, printers, digital cameras, mobile phones, iPods etc. founded by industrial sponsors, in particular bank Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. renowned for its e-banking division.
Teaching foreign studentsEvery year DIT provides lectures and labs on e-business to foreign students coming to the Poznan University of Economics within the Socrates/Erasmus program. Students from Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, France, Lithuania, Portugal, The Netherlands, Turkey, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom, and Ukraine followed these courses.
