At the 4th eGovernment Ministerial Conference in Lisbon in 2007 VINNOVA introduced, as the Coordinator of the FP6 project eGOVERNET, a full day research track. This event was very successful.

As a further development of this success, a pre-conference entitled "eGovernment Research and Innovation: Empowering Citizens & Government Services Across Sectors and Borders" took place on November 18, 2009 in Malmö, Sweden, a day before the 5th eGovernment Ministerial Conference.

This Pre-Conference is the third one, this time co-organized by VINNOVA and PARP.
