Trond Knudsen

Position: Coordinator Research Driven Innovation in Government
Organization: Research Council of Norway

Trond Knudsen is coordinating strategy and financing for research driven innovation in government at the Research Council of Norway. As a strategist and researcher, he has been active within the fields of eGovernment and ICT-based Services, work and cooperation for more than 25 years, among this in central roles in several EU-supported research projects and networks. He was appointed as Research Track Chair for the 5th EU Ministerial eGovernment Conference 2009 and the Programme Chair of the Research Track of the 4th Conference in 2007. Previously he was responsible for R&D for knowledge-intensive deliveries and flexible and mobile work methods as senior researcher and responsible for activities within ICT supported work and cooperation at the research foundation the Norwegian Computing Center. He has also held a position as researcher and guest professor in information systems management at University of California at Irvine, USA.
