After graduating in Electronic Engineering in 1972, he performed research activity in the Computer Science Laboratory of Politecnico di Milano until 1974. In 1974 he joined Praxis Calcolo S.p.A. in Milano staying there until 2009, and becoming in 1994 CTO and Director of R&D. Since the beginning his career in Praxis Calcolo he managed the Italian distribution, from both the technical and sales perspective, of several American and European products in the Database Management (IDMS), Application Development, Application Performance Measurement and Tuning, Software Management areas. From 1997 to 2001 he was Managing Director of Euro2000 S.r.l., a Praxis Calcolo Group Company focused on building a successful AI-based software re-engineering product used by many companies to perform large Y2K and Euro remediation projects. He leaded several large Database Design projects, and also worked on Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence. In February 2007 he started a partnership between Google and Praxis Calcolo, managing several projects of Google Enterprise Solutions. Since January 2010 he joined GoCloud S.r.l. of which he is a founding member and Chairman. GoCloud is a Consulting and System Integration company focused on Cloud Computing.
