KRZYSZTOF WALCZAK is a Full Professor, Head of the Department of Information Technology, and Director of the Institute of Informatics and Quantitative Economics at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. His research focuses on virtual and augmented reality (VR/XR), multimedia systems, and artificial intelligence. He has led over 50 research, implementation, and infrastructure projects funded by the European Commission, NCN, NCBR, and industry. For many years, he has served as an expert for the European Commission and Polish agencies supporting research and innovation. He is the co-author of over 150 publications and four international patents. He has served on the organizing committees of more than 20, and the program committees of over 180, international scientific conferences. He collaborates with business partners in Japan and the USA, as well as with academic institutions across Europe, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Greece. A long-time member of the Executive Board, and currently of the Advisory Board, of the EuroXR Association. Member of the Board of Directors of the Virtual Worlds Association.
