Prof. Krzysztof Walczak has been invited to the program committee of the 12th National Scientific Conference in Honor of Professor Zbigniew Czerwiński "Mathematics and Computer Science in the Service of Economics", which will be held online on September 22, 2023.
Dr Daniel Wilusz has received the Award of the PUEB Rector for original and creative research achievement in year 2022 (the paper "Secure protocols for smart contract based insurance services" in a recognized international journal - Expert Systems), and for organizational and image achievements of significant importance for the university in year 2022 (work on organizing international conference "Challenges and Reality of the IT-space: Software Engineering and Cybersecurity").

Dr. Daniel Wilusz has been invited to the Program Committee of the "4th European Symposium on Software Engineering - ESSE 2023", which will be held on 1 - 3 December 2023 in Neapoli, Italy.
Prof. Krzysztof Walczak took part in the "W Środku Dnia" program on Radio Poznań. The discussion, involving listeners, focused on the consequences of widespread access to artificial intelligence and its impact on education, medicine, work, and art.
On April 19-28, prof. Jarogniew Rykowski and dr. Daniel Wilusz gave lectures and carried out exercises for high school students during the ENIGMA Metropolitan Science Festival. Prof. Jarogniew Rykowski introduced participants to the history and implementation of the concept of a smart city, and dr. Daniel Wilusz presented the technical basis of blockchain and demonstrated an example of programming smart contracts.
In the VR/AR Laboratory of the Department of Information Technology, demonstrations were held for participants of the International Staff Week 2023 conference, organized at UEP. The event was attended by administrative staff from foreign universities.
