Misją KTI jest łączenie technicznej kreatywności z ekonomiczną
innowacyjnością ponieważ elektroniczna gospodarka zarówno nowych
technologii, jak i nowych modeli biznesowych. Katedra bierze udział w
rozwoju jednych i drugich, z naciskiem na nowe technologie, gdyż jej
kadrę naukową stanowią inżynierowie informatycy.[...]"
Prof. Krzysztof Walczak has been invited to the Scientific Committee of the the 1st International Conference on Extended Reality (Salento XR 2022) to be held in Lecce (Italy), July 6-8, 2022.
Project LIDER titled "Creation and exploration of multimedia environments and content for training staff in Industry 4.0 with virtual and augmented reality and domain knowledge representation", prepared by a team lead by dr inż. Jakub Flotyński has been selected for funding by the National Centre for Research and Development. The industrial partner implementing project results is Amica S.A.
Dr. Daniel Wilusz has been invited to the Program Committee of the "15th IADIS International Conference on Information Systems 2022 - IS 2022", which will be held on 12 - 14 March 2022 in Porto, Portugal.
Prof. Wojciech Cellary participated remotely as a panelist in a seminar organized by the Polish Economic Society together with the Polish Society for Cooperation with the Club of Rome titled "Functioning of state institutions after digital revolution" as part of the "Forum of Strategic Thought". He gave a short presentation entitled. "Digital documents as a basis for functioning of state institutions" and took part in the panel discussion.
Prof. Krzysztof Walczak received the "Star of the Researchers' Night" award during the 15th anniversary gala of the Researchers' Night. The award was given to the UEP Virtual and Augmented Reality Laboratory team for many years of organizing attractive activities during the Researchers' Night and for demonstrating practical use of VR and AR techniques to the audience.
Professor Krzysztof Walczak appeared live in the studio of Researchers' Night 2021 giving an interview on virtual and augmented reality techniques and applications.
Prof. Krzysztof Walczak participated in the meeting of the Advisory Group for Research Infrastructure, operating at the Ministry of Education and Science in Warsaw.
Prof. Wojciech Cellary physically participated in the conference "Multifunctional Library - Prospects and Realities" organized by the Regional and Municipal Public Library named after Zbigniew Herbert in Gorzow Wielkopolski. At the conference he delivered a lecture entitled "Libraries in the World of Virtual and Augmented Reality".
Dr. Daniel Wilusz participated on-line in the "13th International Scientific Conference of the College of Management and Quality Sciences of the Cracow University of Economics". Dr. Daniel Wilusz presented a scientific paper "Formal Analysis of Application Areas for Public Blockchain Networks".
