Mr. Daniel Wilusza, PhD student, attended an international conference "Federated Conference on Computer science and Information Systems - ISEC'2012 - 1st International Workshop on the Convergence between Information Systems and Computer Sciences Higher Education Curricula”, which took place in Wroclaw (Poland). Mr. Daniel Wilusz presented a paper entitled "Robot Simulator Facilitating the Education of Concurrent Programming" (authors: Szweda, Ł., J. Flotynski, D. Wilusz, and P. Dabrowski).

Rafał Wojciechowski, PhD, participated in a Joint International Conference on Electronic Government, the Information Systems Perspective, and Electronic Democracy EGOVIS and EDEM 2012 - Advancing Democracy, Government and Governance, which took place in Vienna (Austria) from September 3 to September 5, 2012. During the conference Dr. Rafał Wojciechowski presented a paper entitled "Composable Modeling and Execution of Administrative Procedures" (authors: Strykowski, S., and R. Wojciechowski).

Mr. Jakub Flotyński attended The 18th International Conference on Virtual Systems and Multimedia VSMM2012, which took place in Milan (Italy) from September 2 to September 5, 2012. During the conference Jakub Flotynski presented a paper entitled "Building multi-platform 3D virtual museum exhibitions with Flex-VR" (authors: Flotynski, J., J. Dalkowski, and K. Walczak).

Prof. Wojciech Cellary participated as an invited expert in a Panel Meeting of the Program POLLUX "Innovation in Services", which took place in Luxembourg in the Fond National de la Recherche premises.

Prof. Wojciech Cellary participated in The 1st International Conference on Human-Side of Service Engineering HSSE 2012, which took place in San Francisco (USA), from July 23 to July 25 2012 in the framework of The 4th International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics AHFE 2012. “During the session "The Ethics Dividend in Services” prof. Cellary gave a lecture entitled “Challenges of Borderless eGovernment Services for Europeans".

The Department of Information Technology hosted Prof. Narcyz Roztocki from State University of New York (School of Business), New Paltz, NY (USA). Prof. Roztocki gave an open lecture entitled "Information Technology in Transition Economies: Current Research Trends and Future Opportunities".

Dr. Wojciech Wiza participated in a working meeting of the partners of the European project "Ed2.0Work – European Network for the integration of Web2.0 in education and work" realized by the DIT in the framework of consortium of 12 research institutions from 9 European countries. The meeting was hosted by University of Barcelona, Spain.

Prof. Wojciech Cellary has been a guest of International Institute for Software Technology of the United Nations University, Macao (China). During his stay he gave two invited lectures for researchers and PhD students: “Software Research Towards Future eGovernment” and “How to Write a Methodologically Proper PhD Thesis”. He gave also an invited lecture entitled „Privacy in Light of Future Information Technologies” to the representatives of Macao Government as part of the e-Macao Seminar series, open to all UNU-IIST fellows and staff. Other aims of the visit were: offering a research seminar in UNU-IIST. listening to the research presentations by the members of the EGOV team and providing comments, carrying out a review of the Executive Master Program in Government Information Leadership, joinly developing a framework paper for the HICSS mini-track on EGOV Education, Training and Professionalization, and discussing collaboration.
