INTUITION was a pan-European Network of Excellence focused on virtual reality and virtual environments applications for future workspaces.

Web20ERC

European Resource Centre for Web2.0 EducationWork on Web2.0ERC project by DIT, PUE team

In the period of January 2010 – December 2011, the team of the Department of Information Technology (DIT) at the Poznan University of Economics (PUE) worked on the European project entitled “European Resource Centre for Web2.0 Education”. The project aimed at creating a simple to use and secure Web2.0 environment for teachers and students to use in daily educational activities and popularisation of the use of Web2.0 tools and technologies in education.
During the final evaluation by the European Commission, the project has been awarded an excellent score of 9/10 points.

RMV method

The work within the project is conducted within the Polish National Science Center research grant for young researches without the Ph.D. degree, project "Recommendation method RMV for partner and service selection in virtual organization breeding environments based on process mining techniques".

In this project a novel method for supporting partner and service selection processes based on process mining techniques is proposed. The challenge and scientific goal is to analyze past instances of collaborative processes of partner and service selection, and use this knowledge to support current and future instances. The method allows activity patterns in various instances of partner and service selection processes to be identified as repeatable patterns occurring in particular contexts. Such patterns can be used for recommendation of activities. This provides an opportunity for better computer support of collaborative processes (e.g. by automation of activity patterns) leading to more efficient and effective realization of partner and service selection process goals. Within the project, efficient algorithms will be designed and implemented, namely: activity pattern identification, context modeling and analysis, and activity recommendations.

Multimedia4All

IMM4All - The purpose of the project is to enable partners from 6 EU states to make a software application called Conveyor and to demonstrate it to the cultural heritage community in their state.
Conveyor is an online application that enables users to build an interactive presentation that can be saved and later played back in a browser window. It is easy-to-use and does not require any programming skills.

UbiqUI

UbiqUI - Ubiquitous mobile user interfaces for industrial monitoring and control applications.
ABB Software Research Grant

The aim of this project is to develop a solution that provides an efficient user interface of industrial monitoring and control applications on any device and allows seamlessmigration of the UI from one device to another. Solution that is future proof, i.e. it allows proper presentation of the user interface on devices that will emerge in the future and will introduce form factors and capabilities that were not known beforehand.

BEH-VR

Dynamic GroupwareBeh-VR is a research project focusing on development of a method of dynamic modelling of virtual reality that will enable dynamic composition and manipulation of virtual scenes based on a generic geometric and behavioural model consisting of arbitrarily complex spatial, temporal and logical structures.
The method will enable dynamic composition of virtual scenes consisting of objects that can change their state and presentation method, can react to user actions and can interact with one another. Dynamic management of objects in virtual scenes will enable adding, removing and migrating objects between scenes.
