Prof. Wojciech Cellary participated as a reviewer in the public defense of the doctoral dissertation entitled "Context-aware User Modeling and Recommendation Generation System", presented by Aleksandra Karpus, the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics at the Gdansk University of Technology.

Krzysztof Walczak, PhD, participated as an independent expert of the European Commission (Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, Brussels) in a working session evaluating the progress of the IMMERSIA TV H2020 project.

Prof. Wojciech Cellary visited Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria di Politecnico di Milano at the invitation of prof. Mariagrazzia Fugini. Prof. Cellary participated in a special seminar, during which the possibilities of joint submission of project applications to the H2020 Program and other European programs were discussed.

Prof. Wojciech Cellary attended an international conference The 7th International Conference on Education and Management Innovation ICEMI 2018, which took place in Torino (Italy), February 11 - 13, 2018. Prof. Wojciech Cellary gave a keynote speech entitled „Educating managers for emerging cyber-physical world”, he served also as Conference Advisory Chair.

Results of the 19th edition of the Golden Mouse Contest announced! The contest was addressed to the 1st year students of the Faculty of Informatics and Electronic Economy. The purpose of the contest was to reward the best business project that promotes use of new Internet and mobile technologies in the business process chain. The main criteria of the evaluation were: business model, use of new technologies for organization and management transformation, quality of design. The prizes were founded by the Satntander Group in the framework of Santander Universidades Program and Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. The results were announced during the reward ceremony conducted by Prof. Wojciech Cellary, in the presence of representatives of the Santander Universidades Program, Bank Zachodni WBK S.A and PUEB autorities: Vice-Dean the Faculty of Informatics and Electronic Economy, prof. Elżbieta Rychłowska-Musiał, and President of PUEB Foundation, prof. Magdalena Florek. The First Prize went to the team Filip Mazurkiewicz and Kyrylo Mordan, for a project MaaRcals.

Prof. Wojciech Cellary participated in The International Conference on Cyber Security - Forging Global Alliances for Cyber Resilience ICCS 2018, which took place in New York, January 8 - 11, 2018. The conference was organized by The Federal Bureau of Investigation New York Office and Fordham University of New York. Prof. Wojciech Cellary participated in a panel discussion entitled "Cyber Security: An International Problem in Need of International Solutions”.

Prof. Wojciech Cellary participated in the New Year's meeting with the President of the City of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak, who traditionally invited representatives of culture, science, business, media, politicians and local government officials to the meeting summarizing the past 2017. He also presented the city development plans for 2018. The meeting took place in the Cultural Center CK ZAMEK.

Jarogniew Rykowski, PhD, was hosted by the Department of Microelectronics and Information Technology at the Lodz University of Technology. The purpose of the visit was to establish cooperation in order to prepare joint project applications.

Krzysztof Walczak, PhD, Jakub Flotyński, PhD, and Marcin Krzyszkowski, second year student of Computer Science and Econometrics, specializing in Electronic Business, participated in the international conference The 4rd EuroVR Conference 2017, held at the Laval Virtual Center (Laval, France) on December 12 - 14, 2017. Jakub Flotyński and Marcin Krzyszkowski presented a paper entitled "Semantic Composition of 3D Content Behavior for Explorable Virtual Reality Applications" (authors: Flotyński, J., M. Krzyszkowski, K. Walczak,). Krzysztof Walczak chaired the "Poster - Demos - Exhibit Fast-Track" session. In parallel with the conference on December 12, 2017, the annual assembly of the European association EuroVR took place. The university was represented by Krzysztof Walczak, member of the Executive Committee of the EuroVR association.
