UbiqUI - Ubiquitous mobile user interfaces for
industrial monitoring and control applications

The aim of
this project is to develop a solution that provides an efficient user interface of industrial monitoring and control
applications on any device and allows seamless
migration of the UI from one device to
another. Solution that is future proof, i.e. it allows proper presentation
of the user interface on devices that will emerge in the future and will
introduce form factors and capabilities that were not known beforehand.

The UbiqUI
solution uses an abstract, high level UI
definition which is combined with the information about capabilities of a
particular output device provided by a device
capabilities model. Finally, a set of UI
adaptation rules is used to provide a UI tailored for the output device, by
means of on-the-fly adaptation. Additionally, the UI session can be decoupled
from a particular device and can follow the user, seamlessly migrating from one device to another.
